Hiring Process
 

At PYHIT, we strive to make the hiring process clear, professional, and welcoming for all candidates. Our goal is to identify individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the communities we serve.

Step 1: Apply Online

Candidates may apply for open positions through our online job postings.

​

Step 2: Pre-Screen Phone Interview

Qualified applicants may be contacted by Human Resources for an initial phone screening to discuss experience, qualifications, scheduling availability, and interest in the role.

Step 3: In-Person Interview

Selected candidates are invited to participate in an in-person interview with Human Resources and the Program Director or Location Director for the position.

Step 4: Background Check & Pre-Employment Review

Certain positions require background checks and additional screening in accordance with OASAS guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Hiring Timeline

Depending on the position and required clearances, the hiring process may take approximately 3 to 4 weeks from application to start date.

PYHIT Onboarding

All new employees begin their first day with a New Hire Orientation led by Human Resources, where they receive important information about PYHIT, workplace expectations, benefits, policies, and available resources.
